Downing Arts

Nicholas K. Downing is a full-time professional blacksmith and jeweler based in Bowdoinham, who has been blacksmithing for over 20 years. He makes everything from simple wall hooks and bottle openers to kitchen utensils, fine wood working tools (axes, adzes and more), knives, hammers and decorative work like hardware (historic reproduction or modern), gates and sculpture. He also makes jewelry in precious (and non-precious) metal, stones and found material.
