Celebrate Bowdoinham 2025: A Weekend of Family Fun!

Join us Friday, September 12 and Saturday, September 13, 2025 as we celebrate Bowdoinham’s 263rd birthday with two days of all-ages fun along the Cathance River! Rain date: Sunday, September 14. From parades and fireworks to pie contests, lobster crate races, live music, artisan booths, and the 25th Anniversary of the KenDUCKY Derby, Celebrate Bowdoinham 2025 has something for everyone.

  • New for 2025: Jason Tardy’s high-energy juggling act (he’s even performed at the White House), an outdoor screening of Charlotte’s Web, the Hold Fast Farm Petting Zoo, and the Chewonki Bug Mobile!

  • Favorites return too: zucchini races, helicopter rides, food trucks, carnival games, inflatables, lobster crate races, face painting, balloon art, live entertainment, artisan booths, and so much more.

Festivities begin Friday evening with the return of Bowdoinham’s best pie contest, the chicken run and a new outdoor cinema night featuring Charlotte’s Web and a petting zoo!  On Saturday, the fun kicks off with the parade, themed “Farming in Bowdoinham,” and continues all day along the waterfront with local vendors, food trucks, carnival games, face painting, balloon art, inflatables, Jay the Magician, a dunk tank, silent auction, live music, dancing, juggling, and more—all leading up to the fireworks finale over the river.
