Lower Abagadasset Bridge Weeklong Closure

The Lower Abagadasset Bridge (#3432) will be closed to traffic the week of April 20, 2026.

You are receiving this email because you showed concern over the above bridge project during our Preliminary Public Meeting. I am writing to share the following project update. While this project is still currently scheduled for construction in 2029, the design process is lengthy, and we are beginning our preliminary investigations now. In order to perform a geotechnical evaluation, we have scheduled soil borings with a drilling company. These soil borings require that the bridge be closed to traffic during the duration of the drilling. The drilling and one weeklong bridge closure is scheduled for the week of 4/20/26. I coordinated to have the drilling and closure be as early in the spring as possible and for as short a duration as possible to limit the effects on the traveling public. We are aware of the inconvenience that this causes and appreciate your understanding that we have done our best to protect your interests.
