A traffic change is coming this summer!

The Town will be piloting a temporary all-way stop at the intersection of Main Street (Route 125) and River Road (Route 24), near Three Robbers. Installation of the four-way stop is scheduled for Tuesday, July 28th.

This demonstration project is aimed at improving safety at a busy intersection where visibility can be limited—especially during our peak season of events, markets, and waterfront activity.

What to expect:
• Traffic will stop in all directions
• New signage and flashing stop indicators
• A safer, more predictable intersection flow

This is a temporary pilot, and your feedback matters! We’ll be sharing a community survey this fall to hear what’s working (and what isn’t).
